We are grateful to the Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute (MDPI) who sponsered two Best Paper Awards, one for each conference, with 250 CHF (Swiss francs) each.

The two awards were given to

• Aleksi Saarela, University of Turku, for the paper On the Solution Sets of Entire Systems of Word Equations presented at WORDS 2023 and
• Takao Yuyama, Kyoto University,  for the paper Groups whose Word Problem is Accepted by an Abelian G-Automaton presented at DLT 2023.
